How to run a Poker FundraiserFirst of all....why?
In our experience, fundraisers through silent auctions and bake sales are pretty standard fare. It's tried and true. But everyone does it, why not go the extra step to make sure you generate more money and have fun? Poker tournaments create an environment where people are sitting down and interacting with each other. They have a stake in the game for one of your charitably donated prizes so they have incentives to stay and contribute more to your charity by strengthening their own chances at winning. You get a competitive social environment, where people are encouraged to continue supporting your cause. Why not?
Steps to start fundraising.
Step 1: Click www.procasinoparties.com/book-now.html and schedule a time and place with us or go on our live chat to discuss your options.
Step 2: Fill out the Registration Form for Annual Nonprofit Organizations with the CA Department of Justice. https://ems.doj.ca.gov/cgHome.action *It is important to note that nonprofit organizations, per CA Business and Professions Code, Div. 8, Ch. 5, Article 17 - 19986, states that "A nonprofit organization holding a fundraiser pursuant to subdivision (a) shall not conduct more than one fundraiser per calendar year, and each fundraiser shall not exceed five consecutive hours. Each fundraiser shall be preapproved by the department. Eligible nonprofit organizations that have multiple chapters may hold one fundraiser per chapter per calendar year."* Step 3: Upon approval, let's plan together on the most optimal way to facilitate this tournament. Do you need it to be a relaxed environment? Do you want it competitive and stringent so players feel the pressure to re-buy and continue playing? Do you have a lot of beginner players? We will optimize the event with our staff to make sure you have the best solution to raise funds for your organization! Comments are closed.
